Cliff Snyder, Chief Financial Officer

Corporate - Austin, TX

Cliff Snyder brings a strong operational and finance background from 24 years as Chief Financial and Operating Officer of Metro Fuel, Inc. and 20 affiliates. In that capacity, he was instrumental in transforming a small family business with annual sales of less than $5 million to a corporation with over $75 million in sales. This growth was driven by adding Citgo and Exxon brands to the company’s Texaco heritage. Cliff also managed the retail transition to Shell, after Royal Dutch Shell’s acquisition of the Texaco brand. With his leadership Metro Fuel became the largest fuel supplier in Central Texas before being sold in November 2006 to a multi-state petroleum company.

Cliff’s entrepreneurial spirit turned a gardening hobby into a commercial plant farm in 1996 specializing in bearded irises. He and his wife developed Rainbow Iris Farm into a Web-based business with worldwide retail sales, as well as wholesale business supplying Home Depot, Lowes, and Wal-Mart at over 70 Texas locations. After growing the business dramatically, the business was sold to a multi-state garden supplier in 2003.
